Belvedere
The scenic town of Belvedere is located on the southwestern tip of the Tiburon peninsula. Approximately 2,000 people reside among the two “islands” – Belvedere and Corinthian – and the exclusive Belvedere lagoon.
With its unique setting, surrounded by San Francisco Bay and adjacent to the beautiful town of Tiburon, Belvedere offers residents stunning views of Mt. Tamalpais, Sausalito, the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco, and Angel Island. Architectural styles on the island include Victorian, Mediterranean, Craftsman, and modern.
Belvedere shares town services and amenities with the town of Tiburon. The public schools, library and recreation department are of excellent caliber and are greatly valued by residents.
Friday Nights on Main, on Main Street in Tiburon, is a community festival where locals from both communities gather to enjoy music, dancing, art and al fresco dining. With the street closed to traffic, it’s the ultimate block party.
Originally a fishing village, Belvedere is now home to an extensive sailing community and is the location of the well-known San Francisco Yacht Club and Corinthian Yacht Club, which regularly sponsor regattas throughout the year. On Friday evenings, many locals head from the office to their boats to start off the weekend with a leisurely sail or an energizing race.
